Pirate Adventure Camp

Pack 130 Headed down to Lake Murray for our first ever overnight summer camp week. (well, actually 4 days) The camp was called Pirate Adventure and it was held at Camp Barstow in the Indian Waters Council. Cubs of all stages were there and from all over the state. It was a week not to miss. Our scouts got to try all of the things that makes scouting fun.

They earned their shooting patches and pins for Archery, BB Guns and Sling Shots. They learned how to canoe. My son thought the best part was being dumped out of the canoe as part of the Aquanaut pin. We had water fights in the canoes. They had crafts and STEM time. The staff sang the best camp songs and entertained us with fun skits. They learned how to fish. They hung out with new friends in the wonderful cabins. And mom loved that Camp Barstow had flush toilets and electricity in the campsites. Yea for fans. It is the little things that make the adults happy.

You know it was fun when the kids all said they want to go back next year.
